राजगढ़, । जिले के नवागत पुलिस अधीक्षक वीरेन्द्र कुमार सिंह ने मंगलवार को मां जालपा देवीधाम मंदिर पहुंचकर पूजा-अर्चना की, उसके बाद कार्यालय पहुंचकर पदभार ग्रहण किया, जहां तत्कालीन पुलिस अधीक्षक अवधेश कुमार गोस्वामी ने पुष्पों का गुलदस्ता भेंट कर उनका स्वागत किया।
इसके पूर्व बीती रात पुलिस अधीक्षक अवधेश कुमार गोस्वामी का विदाई समारोह आयोजित किया गया, जिसमें परिवार सहित शामिल रहे। इस मौके पर कलेक्टर हर्ष दीक्षित, जिला पंचायत सीईओ, एसडीएम, एसडीओपी सहित अन्य पुलिस अधिकारी मौजूद रहे।
पुलिस अधीक्षक वीरेन्द्र कुमार सिंह ने पदभार ग्रहण करने के बाद फरियादियों की समस्याएं सुनी और निराकृत के निर्देश दिए। 2009 बैच के आईपीएस वीरेन्द्र कुमार सिंह मूलतः रीवा जिले के निवासी है, राजगढ़ से पूर्व सिंगरौली में एसपी के पद पर थे, इसके पहले धार एसपी, लोकायुक्त एसपी इंदौर, भोपाल क्राइम ब्रांच, उज्जैन, इंदौर में बटालियन की कमान संभाल चुके है। राजगढ़ एसपी अवधेश कुमार गोस्वामी भोपाल एडिशनल कमिश्नर बनाए गए हैं।
